Davenport Short-Term Rental Guidelines

Davenport Airbnb License Registration

In Davenport you are required to have a short-term rental license in order to list your property for rent. To obtain a short-term rental license you must complete a local Business Tax Receipt application which will then allow you to apply for a Tourist Development Tax account. The TDT account is required to remit taxes collected from platforms outside of Airbnb. Currently, Airbnb remits all county taxes for you (5%) on all guest fees.

To operate any short-term rental in the state of florida you also need a corresponding license from the FDBR as well as an account with Florida Revenue to remit any taxes collected outside of Airbnb.

Davenport Airbnb Regulations

There are no restrictions in Davenport to operate a short-term rental as long as your HOA permits. Each HOA has their own restrictions, some do not allow short-term rentals out right while others may enforce minimum stay requirements. Also ensure you check with your HOA to avoid any fines to operating a short-term rental.
